What Timeline shows you

The Pipeline tells you where things stand right now. Timeline answers a different question: are things actually moving? It’s the view you open when you want to zoom out, to see which applications have been active for weeks without progress, which ones are accelerating, and where interviews are clustering in your calendar.

What it tracks

For each role, Rolvelio builds a timeline row from:
  • when you saved the role
  • when you applied
  • interview stages and their timing
  • offer or rejection dates
Side by side, those rows give you a picture of the whole search, not just the current status of each individual role.

When it’s most useful

Timeline is particularly helpful when:
  • you have several active roles at once and want to see the full picture
  • you suspect something is stalling but aren’t sure which application
  • interview stages are bunching together and you want to see why
  • you want a clearer sense of overall momentum than a Kanban board can give you

Timeline vs Pipeline

Use Pipeline when…Use Timeline when…
You’re updating a role or moving it to a new stageYou want to compare how roles are progressing relative to each other
You need to manage the day-to-day boardYou want to see dates, durations, and patterns
You’re asking “what do I do next?”You’re asking “is my search actually moving?”
If your Pipeline tells you what to do next, Timeline tells you whether the search as a whole is going anywhere.
